How CycloRam Works – Cyclone Separation Technology

CycloRam uses multi-cyclone vortex technology to remove dust, debris and moisture from incoming air.

1. Air Intake

Air enters through specially designed intake blades that create a controlled vortex.

2. Cyclonic Separation

The rotating airflow creates centrifugal force that pushes heavier particles toward the cyclone wall.

3. Particle Drop-Out

Dust and debris lose velocity and fall into the dust collection chamber.

4. Clean Air Exit

Cleaned air exits through the vortex finder outlet and travels down the snorkel pipe to the engine air filter.

5. Dust Collection

Collected dust can be removed by opening the dust chamber for inspection and cleaning.

Some CycloRam models include an optional duck-beak valve for automatic drainage of water and debris.

CycloRam vs Standard Snorkel Head

Standard snorkel heads mainly raise the air intake position of the vehicle.

CycloRam goes further by actively removing dust before it reaches the air filter.

CycloRam units are designed to operate within an airflow velocity range of approximately:

20 m/s – 50 m/s

Typical pressure loss across the CycloRam system:

250 Pa – 650 Pa

This pressure loss is significantly lower than the pressure drops across heavily dust-loaded air filters.
